Johannesburg is hosting this series of culinary events, which last year took place in Cape Town. Chefs who Share — the Art of Giving is series of evenings featuring local and international chefs who collaborate and cook up exceptional culinary delights. The events culminate in the Grand Gala evening — which includes an auction — happening on September 24.

The idea is that 14 chefs make up seven teams, each of which creates unique tasting experiences for their guests. The chef lineup this year includes UK-based and Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia, and Phil Carmichael from London’s Berners Tavern. Locally, chefs include Margot Janse from the Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français and Dirk Gieselmann from the Four Seasons Hotel, The Westcliff. Some charities that benefit from funds raised this year include the Veggie Box Initiative, the Make a Difference Leadership Foundation, and the Click Foundation.
