Your favourite timepiece and why? My new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean DeepBlack. It was very significant to me, being invited to become an Omega ambassador five years ago. My dad has an Omega watch that is 60 years old, so it felt as if my life had come full circle. I now have six Omega watches, so I wear a different one every day.
An unforgettable place you've travelled to in the past year? Rio for the 2016 Olympics!

The last meal that truly impressed you? The braai last night with Mr Jacques Marais.

The best gift you've given recently? Taking my three best friends to the US, including Vegas, this December.

What is the one indulgence you would never forgo? Gaming. I love playing FICA with my friends — it’s my way of relaxing.

The grooming staple you are never without? I’m not sure what they use, but the guys at Carl Putz grooming salon in Kloof look after me and my skin once a week when I visit them for a shave and a pamper.
Your all-time favourite gadget? My Playstation!
Your favourite drink? A chocolate milkshake. It’s really funny: When I’m out with my friends and they’re ordering beers, I order a milkshake because I usually have to be up early the next morning to train.
The restaurant you frequent most often? Olive & Oil in Glenwood, Durban. They serve a delicious pasta with prawns, cream and chili. And they make a pizza with a yoghurt sauce that you have to try.
Your personal style signifier? My leather jackets. I have a few and my friends give me a bit of stick because I am always wearing one. My favourite is the black one.
The last thing you bought and loved? A holiday to the west coast of the United States for me and three friends at the end of the year. I haven’t had a holiday for years and I’ve been promising my friends that after the world champs, we would do this.
