It’s apparent when you walk in that what they do is not child’s play: “We want every person who walks through these doors to have a whole coffee experience, whether you are an enthusiast or an amateur,” says owner Wayne Burrows. The barista will take your curious mind through the different beans that range from Rwandan to Nicaraguan and allow you to find or create your own unique special brand of coffee.

Apart from the fact that you can buy different blends, also on sale are various coffee machine brands, including Fiammetta and Tiamo. There are also other trinkets on sale, such as specialised cups and pots. And if that’s not enough, for the people who really want to understand their coffee the way people want to understand their wine, Urban Grind’s baristas offer coffee courses.
