In an annual tradition, Estée Lauder has illuminated the Nelson Mandela bridge in shades of pink. This is in recognition of breast cancer awareness for the month of October, and to honour the initiative first introduced in 2000 by Evelyn Lauder. Not only Joburg lights up for a good cause – other international cities also take part, as has Joburg since 2012.

Estée Lauder doesn’t stop there as it also has a bid to donate to the cause with the sale of its best serum. Advanced Night Repair is synonymous with the heritage of the brand, being its most iconic and masterly effective serum. And so, starting from October 1, limited-edition bottles of this amber gold will be for sale, all including a pink ribbon charm on the bottle. R20 from each of these sold will go to the Look Good, Feel Better organisation, which helps women feel their best despite battling the disease.

And, if you’re after a new foundation while picking up your ADR, try the new Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup, R525, which launches on October 3.
