This weekend, the 109th annual Prince of Wales Polo Cup (dubbed Africa’s grandest polo tournament) will be taking place at the Waterfall Polo Fields in Johannesburg.

To commemorate the tournament and recognise the excellence of one of the best polo players in the fraternity, master tailor Rahim Rawjee from Row-G has created a bespoke Blue Blazer, which will be unveiled at the Gala dinner on August 27 — the day before the polo finals.

Conductor and cellist Kutlwano Masote will showcase a signature classical piece at the dinner, which takes place at the Four Seasons Hotel, Westcliff.

Mr Concierge has partnered with the South African Polo Association and Row-G to create this award, with the recipient chosen from a shortlist submitted by the SA Polo Association and a select panel of judges. The blazer’s blue hue and polo monogram will be two standard features; other than those, the winner will select their own bespoke elements, such as the lining, collar, and buttons.

Can’t decide what to wear? FYI, stilettos are a no-no, but the what to wear page on the cup’s website has you sorted, as does this hashtag on Instagram, #whattoweartothepolo.
